J'ai installé MXFTk Reader mais rien n'apparait sur mon desktop ou rien n'a l'air installé MXFTk Reader is not an application and cannot be run directly from your Windows account. It consists of a DirectShow filter that adds MXF support to your Windows system. After installing MXFTk Reader you should be able to play MXF files in any DirectShow-based player and in particular with Windows Media Player or OpenCube XF Reader. ^^sommaire^^
J'ai installé MXFTk Reader mais Windows Media Player refuse de jouer mes fichiers MXF
The failure may be due to different factors. Here is a check-list to help you to diagnose the problem: - 1) Is MXFTk Reader correctly installed? In addition to the DirectShow filter, MXFTk Reader also installs tools that can be accessed when you right-click on an MXF file in Windows Explorer. It adds an "Output XML" entry and a new "MXF Properties" tab in the field "Properties". Check to make sure that these features are available. If not, try to re-install MXFTk Reader, otherwise proceed to Step 2.
- 2) Check the MXF properties tab. Do you see the MXF file property or does it say "Invalid MXF file"? If the file is invalid,we would be happy to diagnose the problem for you. Please email support_mxftk with a short sample file so that we may reproduce the problem. If the structure of the file is correctly displayed, there could be a difficulty on the DirectShow layer. In that case, please proceed to Step 3.
- 3) Check the version of DirectX installed on your computer. Go to Start > Run and type "dxdiag". This will open the DirectShow dialog box which will give you the version of DirectX installed on your computer. This should be DirectX 9.0c or a more recent version. Although MXFTk Reader may function with older versions of DirectShow, it is best to use the latest version available here (link to download DirectX). If your version of DirectX is up-to-date, then proceed to Step 4.
- 4) Do you have all the DirectShow filters you need to complete the decoding? MXFTk Reader performs the MXF unwrapping, however you must have a media decoder installed on your computer (i.e. when you want to play MXF files embedding MPEG material you need to have an MPEG decoder installed as well). The MXFTk Reader evaluation usually comes with a Main Concept evaluation version of DVCPro and MPEG decoders. Other sources may require an MPEG4 decoder (XDCam proxy). If you are sure that all the right filters are installed then proceed to Step 5.
- 5) Launch MXFTk Front-End and see if you can extract the media embedded in the file. If not, please report the problem to support_mxftk and, if possible, send a short sample file so that we may reproduce the problem. Also, try to play these extracted files directly with Windows Media Player and see if they play correctly. If not, then you probably don't have the appropriate decoder (an exception to this would be AES audio that simply can't be played if not embedded in an MXF file). If your problem is still not resolved then proceed to Step 6.
- 6) Third-party software may interfere with the DirectShow layer. Check to see if you have other MXF products installed on your computer and try uninstalling them.

J'ai installé XFReader mais l'application refuse de jouer mes fichiers MXF XFReader also requires MXFTk Reader in order to play MXF files. Open the "About" box and check to see if it is installed. If so, then verify the following points (link to the preceding question). ^^sommaire^^
J'ai installé XFReader mais l'application refuse de jouer mes fichiers MXF MPEG audio and DV audio files do not support sound track selection for the moment. XF Reader will play these tracks correctly but you won't be able to deactivate them. If you are not able to activate/deactivate the sound then the audio tracks are probably in MPEG or DV audio format. ^^sommaire^^
